What would have happened in each of the last 16 years
- Wetsuit mandatory10 of 16
- Optional (recommended)6 of 16
What the organiser says
Depends entirely on water temperature measured one hour before the start, per British Triathlon rule 4.2. Wetsuit hire is available.
Estimated from air-temperature history — no direct measurement of this water exists, and small, shallow venues tend to run a degree or two warmer than shown. The official temperature is taken an hour before the start, and only that reading decides the rule on the day.
Transitions
The Event Village is at Alexandra Gardens, a 5-10 minute walk from the car parks.

Where Royal Windsor Triathlon starts and finishes
Royal Windsor Triathlon starts at Alexandra Gardens, Barry Avenue, Windsor SL4 3HY and finishes at River Thames, near Queen Elizabeth Bridge / Baths Island. We haven't been able to place those on a map accurately enough to show one — a pin in the wrong place is worse than no pin.
These are the start and finish points, not the route. Verus doesn't hold course files for this race, and drawing a line between two pins would be a guess you might end up training on. The official course map is the one to use: view it on the organiser's site .

Transport, Spectating & Where to Stay
Transport
Windsor & Eton Central (via Slough from London Paddington) or Windsor & Eton Riverside (direct from London Waterloo, around 55 minutes) both serve the race.
Long-stay car parks are available at Romney Lock, King Edward VII Avenue and Alexandra Gardens. Windsor Boys' School parking was £20 for the whole weekend in 2025 (pay once on Saturday to cover both days) — the car park is locked overnight with no re-entry, so it is day-use only, not for camping.

Spectator guide
No dedicated spectator guide was found, though both Windsor train stations are minutes from Windsor Castle and the race route.
No official guidance is published on moving between viewing points.
