That's a genuine scheduling coincidence rather than any kind of joint event: the two races are on opposite sides of the Atlantic, and Rome's elite field races the shorter T50 format while San Francisco's races the full 100km.
- Rome's elite race sits on the officially published 2027 T50 World Championship Tour calendar, not the T100 100km tour — worth knowing before assuming this will look like a typical T100 venue. The T50 format (roughly a 1.5km swim/40km bike/10km run, Olympic-distance-aligned) is the same shape as the World Triathlon Cup races Rome has hosted before.
